What to watch after Breaking Bad
Stay in the same world, follow Jesse’s story, or take Bob Odenkirk into an action movie.
Finishing Breaking Bad leaves two different questions: do you want more of that story, or more of the actors who made it work? A shared cast can answer either question, but the next title may have a very different pace and tone.
These three starting points follow Bob Odenkirk and Aaron Paul. They are grouped by the kind of evening you want, rather than presented as a score ranking. There are no ending spoilers below, though the story-continuation option is best saved until you have finished the original series.
Choose your direction
Choose Better Call Saul for another series in the same fictional world, El Camino for a film connected to Jesse Pinkman, or Nobody for a separate action story with a familiar lead.
Better Call Saul
2015 · Series · Another series in the same world
Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, and Giancarlo Esposito connect the two series.
Jimmy McGill’s legal career provides a different route into the world surrounding Breaking Bad. The shared performers make the connection immediate, while the focus on Jimmy’s choices gives the series its own reason to exist.
Choose it if: You want to spend more time with that world and are ready for another series, rather than looking for a single-film follow-up.
An existing story connection is stronger here than a simple resemblance in genre. If you have already watched it, mark it watched in discovery so it does not fill your shortlist again.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie
2019 · Movie · A direct continuation in one film
Aaron Paul returns as Jesse Pinkman.
El Camino follows Jesse after the events of Breaking Bad. It is the most direct option here when your interest is in what happens beyond the series, rather than finding a new genre or setting.
Choose it if: You have finished Breaking Bad and want to continue Jesse’s story without starting another multi-season show.
Watch the original series first. Even a trailer or a short synopsis can reveal where the film begins, so keep the follow-up in your shortlist until you are ready.
Nobody
2021 · Movie · A change of pace: action
Bob Odenkirk leads the cast in a separate role.
An underestimated family man becomes involved in a violent confrontation. The link is Odenkirk’s performance, rather than the Breaking Bad setting or its characters, making this a way to follow an actor into a different kind of story.
Choose it if: You want an action film with a familiar performer and are comfortable leaving the original series’ tone behind.
Shared cast does not mean shared intensity or style. Check the film’s content information if you are deciding what fits your evening.

Availability changes by country and service. Open “View cast & watch options” beside a pick, then choose your country in its detail view and use the watch-options search to check current offers. A shared cast or a recommendation does not mean a movie is included in a particular subscription.
These guides do not carry live streaming offers or prices. See how country-specific watch searches and paid referral links work.
